Anyone who has even experienced money problems understands all too well, the feelings of shame we attach to our debts. It’s as if, we tell ourselves, we are bad people because we owe money. We think, as we are immersed in our problem, that we’re the only one who has money troubles. We’re not!

In my own life, and in my work with others, I have learned one thing for sure. Most people have money issues or have had them in the past.

They can range from the person who has little or no money, to the person who is wealthy but does not know how to enjoy their good fortune.

If you want to change your financial situation and relationship with money, you have to be willing to let go of the shame.

You are not your money. You are not your bills. You are not your debts. Your worth as a human being has nothing to do with how much or how little money you have.

If you stop people on the streets and ask them about their lives, most will readily give you all sorts of information.
