Sometimes you’ve just got to go for the cookie. In our continual striving, to do better, feel better and look better, we sometimes forget that life is supposed to be fun too.

When was the last time you ordered something at a restaurant, just because you wanted it, without feeling guilty that you ’shouldn’t'? I’m not suggesting that you go out and start making poor food choices, based solely on what your eyes and head wants, that would be foolish. I am suggesting however, that once in a while we throw caution to the wind and eat something that just feels good.

We can apply the same philosophy to virtually any area of our lives. Instead of following your regular exercise program, what would happen if you just went for a leisurely walk?

The emotional nurturing that you would receive from these types of ‘feel good’ activities would surely outweigh any detrimental effect, so why not lighten up a little and have some fun.

The next time you are facing a choice between a chocolate chip cookie and a bowl of fruit, just go for the cookie and have some guilt free pleasure.
